2023 Nigeria presidential election flawed, Buhari’s govt grounded on corruption — American economist Steve Hanke
An American economist, Steve H. Hanke has come hard on Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari over failure to conduct credible elections.
Steve Hanke, who disclosed this in a statement he made on his official Twitter handle, said after 8 years as Nigeria’s president, Buhar, left behind a dismal legacy.

He said:
“After 8 years as Nigeria’s president, Buhari leaves behind a dismal legacy: CORRUPTION, A JUNK CURRENCY, SOARING INFLATION, and last but not least, a FLAWED PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION in which his man, Bola Tinubu, was pronounced the winner.”
He added that for the last eight years under Buhari’s reign, Nigeria has been grounded on the rock of corruption.
He said that, unfortunately, nothing will change under a Bola Tinubu reign.
