Bandits Kidnapped 807 ECWA Church Pastors And Members In Kaduna
It has come to light that during the last eleven months of this year, bandits abducted 837 members of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Kaduna State.
The revelation was made on Thursday by Reverend Timothy Maigida, the chairman of the ECWA Kasuwan Magani District Council.

He pointed out that the numbers given represent the total number of Church members taken hostage during various bandit attacks in the state’s Kajuru local government area alone in 2022.
The cleric claimed that pastors were among the abducted victims and that at least 70 other people all of whose whereabouts are unknown remain hostages of the bandits.
Maigida observed that the majority of assaults took place during Sunday or weekly services inside the churches.

He bemoaned how the region’s socioeconomic and religious activities had been impacted by the rising banditry and kidnapping rates.
However, the ECWA Pastor urged the state’s security organisations to be more proactive and to bolster their presence in rural areas, where the majority of bandit attacks take place.
Additionally, he prayed that the state government would consider the welfare of the thousands of displaced people dispersed throughout the region.

Meanwhile, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has urged all of his ministers to treat the “issue of Nigeria seriously.”
The clergyman bemoaned the state of the nation as he spoke to the mission’s ministers at Redemption City.
Pastor Adeboye implores his audience to actively participate in the processes bringing about the desired change and to break out of their current shells.
