Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) candidate for president, has made yet another error.
Tinubu incorrectly stated that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, a candidate for governor of Delta State in the 2023 election, is running for the position of “Niger Delta” State governor while speaking on Friday in the Gbaramatu community in the Warri South-West Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State.
Omo-Agege serves as the Nigerian Senate’s vice president at the moment.
As his allies applauded, Tinubu said, “I equally recognize today the Deputy-Senate president currently serving, and he will be the governor of Niger Delta State.”
After realizing his mistake, an APC official who was on stage with the presidential hopeful quickly corrected him by saying, “Delta State.”
Questions have been raised about the 70-year-health old’s and fitness, but the former governor of Lagos State has stated that he is in good health and has found it puzzling that the opposition keeps insisting he is ill or doubts his mental capacity.
