Recall that on April 8, APC Publicity Secretary Moses Kyari disclosed in a press release that the two lawmakers had been suspended by their ward executives.

APC announced on April 18 the expulsion of Danjuma Goje, senator for the Gombe Central Senatorial District in Gombe State, for his alleged participation in anti-party activities during the recent elections.

.

On Tuesday, the chairman of Bambam ward in Balanga Local Government, Muhammad Kaka, announced the decision of the ward’s executives to expel Amos, citing the senator’s refusal to defend himself against allegations made against him and his subsequent threats to party executives in the ward.

Kaka stated, “During the recently concluded general elections, our ward held elections, and Senator Amos from our ward did not participate in our political activities.

“Instead, the senator toured his polling unit with his supporters, urging them not to vote for the APC. As a result of his anti-party activities, the APC did not win any of the surrounding polling units.

“This greatly disturbed the ward’s executives, so we analysed the situation and decided to summon him to defend himself and explain his actions.”

Kaka elaborated on the rationale behind the punitive measure by stating that although Amos had appeared before them, he was unable to justify his actions and that “we gave him another chance, but he did not return.”

“He stated that we have no right to expel him from the party; this is incorrect, as no individual is greater than the party.”

In light of this, the ward’s executive committee decided to expel Senator Amos from the party.
