Investigation has revealed that APC launched a website and begins payment of N10,000 to voters and Polling Unit Managers.
Person behind the website emerged.
It has been alleged that the APC is giving away 10,000 to voters and Polling Unit Manager online in exchange for Voters personal information.
One Man (name withheld) disclosed to an investigative Journalism (FIJ) that he received the sum of N10,000 from APC on Thursday.
According to the man, an SMS notification from MAlert, a bulk SMS service, instructed him to “visit https://pollmanager.ng . “Log in with your phone number to withdraw your funds” on Thursday morning”
Okereke told FIJ, “The message arrived during the day, and I simply viewed it and disregarded it.” “During the night, I received another message containing a pin, so I simply clicked the link to find out what it was about.
When I entered my phone number and the password they sent, it displayed my information, including my polling place, ward, date of birth, and gender.
Okereke stated that he observed four voters had already registered on the platform before he did, and the number increased to five after he did so.
He reported seeing the APC logo in the upper-left corner of the webpage.
Three hours before he received the message, he noticed on the portal that N10,000 had been deposited into his wallet at 11:56 a.m., according to his account.
He stated that he withdrew the amount at 8:27 p.m. without much thought and was surprised to receive a credit notification from his bank. The money was delivered to him.
