Bandits attack APC Youth leader, Alhazzai Shinkafi several others in Zamfara
On the Kaura Namoda-Shinkafi road in Zamfara State, armed gangs known locally as “bandits” have attacked travellers.
Ejes Gist News Nigeria has learned that Hamdan Alhazzai Shinkafi, a youth leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), sustained flat tyres as a result of several gunshots fired by terrorists during the Tuesday morning attack.

A source said the bandits riddled travellers’ vehicles with bullets.
Bandits have killed about 8,000 people since 2011 and forced more than 200,000 to flee their homes, according to an estimate by Brussels-based Crisis Group.

Some of them are also known to have ties to international terrorist organisations like Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP).
This online newspaper contacted Mohammed Shehu, the spokesman for the Zamfara State Police Command, for official comment on the latest attack. He confirmed that an attack occurred on the Kaura Namoda-Shinkafi highway.
