The well-known Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth, has revealed that he and his wife, Elsie Okpocha, have decided to end their marriage after 12 years of wedded bliss.
This information was made public on Thursday by the well-known entertainer in the form of a post on his verified accounts on Instagram and Facebook.

Basketmouth, who had just celebrated his wife’s 44th birthday in October, said in the post that the decision was the culmination of a great deal of back-and-forth discussion between him and his wife.
On the other hand, he gave his word that they would both carry on cooperating with one another to ensure that their children receive the love and care that they need from their parents.
“As much as it hurts me to bring my private life into the public space, this is a situation that simply cannot be avoided.”

“After a great deal of thought and discussion, my wife and I have come to the conclusion that it is in both of our best interests to end our marriage.
“Even though we are going our separate ways, we are going to continue to collaborate in order to provide our lovely children with all of the care, love, direction, and support that they require.
“As we make our way through these trying times, we humbly request that you respect our need for privacy. “Thank you,” he said in the posts that he made on social media.
