Ude, one of the founders of Ebonyi and a leader of the LP in Okposi, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state, confirmed this to journalists in Abakaliki.

He said that the reason he switched back to his old party was to help get the state out of its political quagmire.

Ude was a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He was known for paying for all of the media ads during the fight for the creation of Ebonyi in the early 1990s, when Gen. Sani Abacha was military head of state.
