We’re behind you, Anambra Monarchs assure Peter Obi
The Anambra State traditional rulers have endorsed Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate for president, in his bid for the office.
The Monarchs responded after the LP candidate spoke to them at the Government House in Awka before beginning his campaign in Anambra State, saying that even though they are not politicians, they share the same desire for the welfare of their subjects.

Igwe of Okpuno responded on behalf of the traditional leaders, and Sunday Okafor prayed to God to assist Obi in achieving his goal of becoming president of Nigeria.
“We are not politicians, and we don’t play politics,” the royal father declared.

We have known Obi since he was the governor of the state of Anambra, and we have seen his successful leadership.
“We applaud you for showing up to run for this position, and we encourage you to keep enlisting the public’s support. We will support you.
