FCT Minister Orders Arrest Of Housing Officials, Developer- Abuja Building Collapse

The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, has ordered the arrest of housing officials.

He directed security agencies to arrest Federal Housing Authority officials and the developer of the collapsed two-story building in Abuja.

Umar Shuaibu, the Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, informed journalists of the development during a press conference on Saturday.

He ordered the arrest for manslaughter of the FHA officers in charge of monitoring the development, granting the development permit, the developer, and the engineer supervising the development.

Shuaibu revealed that the unfinished building that collapsed two days ago on 6th Avenue in Gwarimpa Estate trapped 24 people, three of whom were confirmed dead, while 21 were rescued.
