Musa A. Lawan, Kano State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, stated on Thursday, while briefing journalists on the findings and legal recommendations of the government on the criminal charges filed against the lawmaker, that available evidence contained in the police case diary indicated there was insufficient evidence to link Doguwa with the alleged offences, despite witnesses’ contradictory statements.

“This is due to the fact that we cannot find sufficient evidence to link him to the aforementioned offences, despite having both incriminating and exculpatory evidence for and against him. “In addition, the statements of those who implicated him were contradictory,” he said.
