FCDA reclaims Ghana, Malaysia, Thailand Embassy plots in Abuja
The plots given to the embassies of Ghana, Thailand, and Malaysia have been withdrawn by the Federal Capital Development Authority because they impeded the construction of a significant motorway in the nation’s capital.
Shehu Ahmad, the FCDA’s executive secretary, informed the media over the weekend of the development while providing an update on the organization’s efforts to provide crucial national infrastructure.

He claimed that the properties in question, which are situated in the diplomatic area of Abuja, were chosen for replacement years ago to make room for the construction of the Ring Road One interchange on the busy Inner Southern Expressway.
In order to comfort the embassies impacted by the significant infrastructure project, Ahmad claimed that replacement plots were offered at some of the new layouts the authority was creating at Guzape ll.
The affected missions had accepted the offer of replacement plots, clearing the way for the construction of an interchange on that stretch of road, he said, adding that the problems had been settled diplomatically.

“Diplomatic plots presented some difficulties for us. We were supposed to have an interchange at Ring Road One, but due to diplomatic ploys, we ran into difficulties.
“When you have a problem with an embassy, you also have a problem with that country’s government.
There were many diplomatic efforts made to achieve the resolution, but we now have replacement plots, and they have shown that they are willing to accept them. We will soon begin our communication there, Ahmad said.juuu Ann b j. An
