Former NERC Boss, Sam Amadi Declares Interest To Contest Imo Governorship Election

 

Dr. Sam Amadi, the former chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has publicly declared his intention to run for governor of Imo state.

 

 

He announced the news on Twitter.

Amadi, a popular analyst on Arise TV, stated in a series of tweets on his official Twitter account on Friday, “The courageous life is one lived in the practise and defence of truth.

 

“Imagine NEW IMO. Ignore those who are frightened, as the people are about to select the individual who can best serve them. Moving forward with the NEW IMO.”

 

Amadi confirmed in an interview with Ejes Gist News Nigeria on Friday that he would be running under the Labour Party’s banner (LP)

INEC has scheduled the governorship elections for the states of Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa for November 11, 2023.
