The announcement comes just one week after Kebbi and Adamawa states’ governorship elections were declared to be invalid.

Due to violations of electoral laws that resulted in the cancellation of results in voting units within 20 of the state’s 21 local government areas, the election in Kebbi was declared inconclusive last Monday.
