The organisation stated that it would instruct employees to remain at home if the central bank failed to provide Nigerians with naira notes.
“Last week, we issued an ultimatum for a review of the cash crunch afflicting the nation, but to our dismay, we have discovered that the government is still dragging its feet on addressing the issues we raised.
“Based on this, we reassessed our position this morning and decided that by next Wednesday, all CBN branches will be picketed.
“Workers are also directed to stay at home because people cannot eat, and workers are no longer permitted to report to the office. We’ve been pushed to the edge, so we’ve decided to take our fate into our own hands and have mobilised our employees for this exercise,” Ajaero said.
Meanwhile, The Labour party candidate for Abia State has won the gubernatorial polls.
This was announced by the state collation officer after fulfilling all requirements to clinch the number one seat in the state.
