IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu has Protested the Refusal of to Set Him free

Nnamdi Kanu, the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of , IPOB, has stated that he will never appear in court until the federal government of Nigeria releases him from detention.

This is comes as the IPOB leader, Kanu on Monday, refused to appear before a Federal High Court in Abuja in protest against the refusal of the Federal Government to obey a Court of Appeal judgement that ordered his release from detention.

Recall that a Court of Appeal Set the IPOB leader free asking the to taking him back to Kenya where he was arrested from.

The judgement which called for Kanu’s release from detention has still not been honoured by the Federal Government.

The refusal to honour the ruling of the High Court was communicated to Justice Binta Nyako by Mr. Mohammed Abubakar, who is the attorney for the Federal Government.

He reported to the judge that he had rejected all of the attempts to get him to reconsider his decision to not change his mind.

Meanwhile the ’s amended Terrorism charge against Nnamdi Kanu which was supposed to be heard today by the Federal high court in Abuja has been postponed indefinitely.

The court in it’s wisdom put the case on hold awaiting the Supreme Court’s decision as the FG appealed the ruling of the High Court quashing all Terrosim charge against the IPOB leader.
