Veteran Nollywood actor, Ojo Arowosafe, popularly known as Fadeyi Oloro, is dead.

 

The Ekiti-born actor, who rose to prominence during the 80s and late 90s for his trademarked herbalist character in movies died on Tuesday afternoon after a long battle with kidney-related ailments, among other things.

Arowosafe was born on September 15, 1957, in Igbara Odo, Ekiti, and became a household name during the cinematic era for his antagonistic roles in Yoruba movies accompanied by his ever-vibrant recitation of chants and incantations.

Fadeyi Oloro was a popular Nigerian actor who was known for his roles in Yoruba-language movies. He was born September 15, 1957, in Igbara Odo, Ekiti, Nigeria, and his birth name was Ojo Arowosafe. Ojo Arowosafe started his acting career in the 1980s and appeared in numerous Yoruba movies throughout his career.

Some of his most popular movies include “Aye Keji”, “Keregbe Tofo”, “Omo Orukan”, and “Ija Ominira”. He was also known for his roles in television dramas, including “Ogun Mi” and “Kokoro Ajeji”.

In addition to acting, Fadeyi Oloro was also a musician and released several albums. He was also a philanthropist and was known for his generosity towards his colleagues in the movie industry.

Unfortunately, Fadeyi Oloro passed away on March 11, 2023, at the age of 64, after a long battle with an undisclosed illness.

 

In 2014, he was involved in a controversy when it was reported that he was suffering from a mental illness. However, he denied the reports and said that he was in good health.
