BREAKING: PDP expels Chimaroke Nnamani, 6 others

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) has expelled the former governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, and six others for alleged anti-party activities.

Remember that Senator Nnamani was suspended by the party last month.

On Friday, at the conclusion of the 566th meeting of the PDP National Working Committee, its National Publicity Secretary, Kolo Ologbondiyan, made this announcement.

According to the statement, the party approved the expulsion because of anti-party activities and other serious violations of the PDP’s constitution (as amended in 2017).

Others expelled from the Party include: Hon. Chris Ogbu (Imo State), Ajijola Lateef Oladimeji (Ekiti Central), Olayinka James Olalere (Ekiti Central II), Fayose Oluwajomiloju John (Ekiti Central I), Akerele Oluyomiloju John (Ekiti Central I), and Emiola Adenike Jennifer (Ekiti South II).

The statement stated, “the expulsion is effective as of , February 10, 2023.”

“The NWC’s decision follows the National Disciplinary Committee’s recommendation and is in accordance with Sections 58 and 59 (1)(g) of the PDP Constitution” (as amended in 2017).

“The PDP urges all members of our Party across to remain unified and committed to our Party’s mission to Rescue, Rebuild, and Redirect our nation from misrule.”
