Kebbi PDP suspends two former Ministers, five others

 

The state executive committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has authorized the immediate suspension of two former ministers, Barr Kabiru Tanimu Turaki and Alh Buhari Bala, along with five other members.

Barr Kabiru Tanimu Turaki is a senior advocate of Nigeria, a former Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, and a former supervising Minister, Ministry of Labour, having served from 2013 to 2015 and 2014 to 2015, respectively, whereas Buhari Bala is a Nigerian chartered accountant and politician who served as Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs from 1997 until the transition to civil rule in 1999.

Abubakar Bawa Kalgo, secretary of the Kebbi PDP, announced the suspension of the ex-ministers along with Haruna Saidu Dandio, Sani Bawa Argungu, Bala Abdullahi Dole Kaina, and Maryam Isah for alleged anti-party activities.

He stated that the suspension will begin on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
