Winner emerges in Imo APC governorship primary election
Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State, has been declared as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the upcoming election.
Ejes Gist News reports that the announcement was made by Rear Admiral William Kayoda (rtd), who chaired the Imo State Governorship Primary Election Committee, after the party’s primary election held at the Ndubuisi Kanu Square in Owerri on Friday.
Uzodimma emerged victorious after garnering 63,618 votes in the direct primary mode of election.
In his acceptance speech, the Governor promised to work even harder to address the security challenges and provide good governance to the people of Imo State if re-elected.
He expressed confidence in winning the November election and assured the people of the state that he would not disappoint them if given another opportunity to serve.
