Mbaka Was Not Removed As Spiritual Director Of Adoration Ministry ―Catholic Secretariat
Ejes Gist Newspaper reports that the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN) has stated that the controversial priest, Reverend Fr. Dr. Ejike Mbaka, was not fired as the spiritual leader of the Adoration Ministry, contrary to what was widely reported.
According to CSN, after being instructed to spend some time alone, the outspoken priest was asked to suggest a priest to oversee the Adoration Ministry in the interim. With his Bishop’s blessing, Mbaka introduced Fr. Anthony Amadi to his followers.

However, according to a statement from Fr. Mike Nsikak Umoh, director of social communications for CSN, some people were still unhappy and preferred that Fr. Mbaka stay.
In to an interview with Rev. Fr. Ben Achi, Director of Communications for the Enugu Diocese he stated that Very Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka was not dismissed from the Adoration Ministry as many reports indicate.
“Instead, according to Fr. Achi, he was permitted to suggest a priest to administer, in the interim, to the faithful at the Adoration Ministry since it was advised that Fr. Mbaka take time away in solitary in order to listen to what the Spirit of God has to say to him.

“On Sunday, October 2, 2022, Fr. Mbaka welcomed Fr. Anthony Amadi to the congregation with the blessing of his Bishop.
“Unfortunately, some individuals continued to be unhappy and preferred that Fr. Mbaka stay.
“What every true Christian, and especially every true Catholic, should do right now is commit our dear brother and priest, Fr. Mbaka, to God in prayer so that he may, through this moment, encounter God particularly, come out stronger and better in recognizing His will for him, and gain more graces to channel those exceptional gifts for His glory and for the sanctification of God’s people and society at large.

“Fr. Mbaka is beloved by the Church, who treasures him as a distinguished son. May the Queen of all Apostles, our Mother Mary, pray for him. Amen,” the declaration concluded.
