Chimamanda Adichie, a well-known author, recently received a chieftaincy title from the community in which she was raised.
On Friday, Adichie was presented with the title of “Odeluwa Abba” in recognition of her hometown of Abba, which is located in the state of Anambra.

At the ceremony, several notable dignitaries, including the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, were in attendance.
Uche Nworah, a Facebook user who shared photos from the event, wrote: “Award-winning novelist, Chimamanda Adichie, was on Friday honoured by her native abba hometown, Njikoka LGA, Anambra State, with the chieftaincy title of odelwa.” The ceremony took place on Friday.

On Friday morning, December 30, an explosion caused by kerosene occurred in Elekahia, a densely populated area in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
