This follows her being featured following her attempt to break the record for longest cooking time.

Lata Tondon, a chef from India, was the first woman to hold the record for cooking the longest. She continuously prepared food for 87 hours and 45 minutes.

However, Hilda Baci broke the record by cooking for 100 hours, 55 recipes over 100 meals, and feeding more than 3000 individuals.

Social media users, particularly Nigerians, are eagerly awaiting Guinness World Records (GWR) to recognise Hilda Baci as the new record holder.

Pay Attention to: Guinness World Records Releases Fresh Statement On Hilda Baci

Guinness World Records has issued an official statement regarding the Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, also known as Hilda Bassey Effiong.

 

Baci, a native of Akwa Ibom, broke the record for the longest cooking time by an individual, previously held by an Indian chef, Lata Tondon, who completed the task in Rewa in 2019 in 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.

The statement published on the organization’s website on Tuesday read, “She hopes to break the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual) held by Lata Tondon (India) with a time of 87 hours and 45 minutes.”

 

Hilda reportedly began cooking on Thursday and continued through Monday, preparing 55 recipes and more than 100 meals in a 100-hour cooking marathon.

“Officials on our records team look forward to reviewing the evidence and hope to confirm Hilda’s efforts as a new record as soon as possible,” the message continued.

 

One of the British reference body’s spokespeople stated, “We look forward to receiving the evidence for our Records Management Team to review before confirming that the record is official.”
