Soludo’s cryptic Easter message sparks outrage among Obidients

Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, has been accused of making disparaging remarks about Mr. Peter Obi’s supporters.

The accusations of ridicule stem from an Easter message posted on the governor’s Facebook page.

In the post, Soludo wished the people of Anambra a happy Easter and then claimed that a headless mob had murdered Christ because their emotions were in conflict with the truth embodied by Christ.

.

The comments appeared to anger Obi supporters, known as OBIdients, who attacked Soludo in the comment section of his Facebook post.

The governor’s message stated, “Christ is Risen, Hallelujah! Our Lord delivered the inconvenient truth concerning salvation.

“The headless multitude ridiculed, condemned, and crucified Him. Approximately two thousand years later, the truth embodied by the resurrected Christ and His message of salvation and eternity endures.

“History teaches us, and our Lord’s experience confirms, that whenever strong fleeting emotions collide with the truth, emotions temporarily triumph, but the truth ultimately triumphs.

“May the power of the resurrection inspire those with wisdom and courage to always stand up for the inconvenient truth. The truth will always triumph. No history book has ever been written in honour of the emotionally-charged critics or the headless mob.

“May Anambra and Nigeria always win. Happy Easter to everyone!”

It is worth noting that in a piece written in November 2022, Soludo had referred to Obi’s supporters as a headless mob, leading to speculation that his use of the term again in his Easter message may have been a deliberate jibe at the OBIdients.
