Amir Nasr-Azadani: Iran sentences footballer to 26 years imprisonment over protests
Amir Nasr-Azadani, an Iranian football player, was given a 26-year prison term by the government for his participation in the nationwide protests.
Reports making rounds claims that Nasr-Azadani was responsible for the security agents’ deaths during the demonstrations by “participating in enmity against God.”

Nasr-Azadani was connected to two additional crimes that were committed during the protests, according to the Islamic Republic.

However, the football player is free to appeal the ruling to the Supreme Court.
