Court suspends Bauchi APC Chairman

 

The Bauchi State High Court has issued a restraining order against suspended All Progressives Congress state chairman Babayo Aliyu Misau. (APC).

 

The order prohibits Misau from presenting himself as a member or chairman of the party in the state.

Justice Lamido Umar issued the order in a case filed by Alhaji Al-Mustapha Zubairu with case number BA/73/2023.

 

The judge ruled in favour of the plaintiff and against Babayo Misau and the APC.

 

Justice Umar stated that he had reviewed the ex parte motion, the supporting affidavit, and the applicant’s written address, which requested an order of interim injunction.

 

He also considered the exhibits in support of the application, along with Abdulhamid Attahir’s affidavit and S.G. Idrees’ written address.

As a result, Justice Umar issued the order of interim injunction prohibiting Babayo Misau from representing himself as the state party chairman or an APC member.

 

The court’s orders are as follows:

 

“That an order of Interim Injunction be and is hereby made prohibiting the 1st defendant/respondent (Babayo Misau) from further parading himself as a member of the 2nd defendant/respondent (APC) or chairman of the 2nd defendant/respondent, pending the determination of the motion on notice.

 

“That an order of interim injunction be and is hereby made restraining the 2nd Defendant/Respondent from dealing with the 1′′ Defendant/Respondent in his capacity as a member or chairman of the 2nd Defendant/Respondent, pending the resolution of the Motion on Notice.”
