Davido set to perform at Qatar 2022 World Cup closing ceremony

David Adeleke, better known by his stage name , is a Nigerian Afrobeat sensation who has confirmed he will give a live performance at the Qatar 2022 closing ceremony.

Stephen Hung, a Chinese businessman, revealed the news on his Instagram story on Thursday. He said the singer had confirmed he would be performing at the closing event, which is set for December 18, 2022.

“So happy my bro #davido confirmed he will perform at the World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar,” he wrote. I am excited to meet him there.

The singer of “Fem” will be making his return to the stage for the first time since the tragic passing of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, on October 31, 2022.

Earlier, Davido appeared on the Qatar 2022 World Cup theme song, “Better Together,” along with Trinidad Cardona and Aisha.

The multiple award winner will perform on various stages at the Qatar 2022 World Cup along with Nigerian artists Kizz Daniel, Patoranking, and the singer of the song “Buga.”

Recall that prior to this, the afro beat singer, Davido lost his son and days after married off his baby mama, Chioma.

His son Ifeanyi Adeleke died of drowning at his father’s residence in Lagos.

Amidst numerous domestic staffs on duty, the little Adeleke moved passed them all and went to the poll where he met his unfortunate end.
