Ecobank, PZ Cussons, two others hit with monetary fine.

The Nigeria Exchange Limited (NGX), the country’s capital market regulator, has fined Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, PZ Cussons, and two other corporations for failing to comply with stock market listing requirements.

Ecobank, PZ Cussons, and John Holt were fined a total of N11.2 million in 2022 for failing to submit their Audited and Interim financial statements.

Ecobank was fined N3.2 million for submitting its financial statements after the regulatory deadline, while PZ Cussons was fined N4.8 million and John Holt was fined N3.2 million.

Ripples Nigeria obtained the X-Compliance Report from the capital market authority on Tuesday, but it was dated March 17, 2023.

Guinea Insurance Plc was fined N453,600 for failing to use the issuers’ portal to file sensitive information, according to the report.
