Election results: Battle continues – Dino Melaye vows Tinubu must be sacked

Dino Melaye, spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Campaign Council, PCC, stated that there is no retreat in the party’s pursuit of justice following the results of the presidential election of 2023.

 

Melaye, who also served as the PDP’s collation agent for the presidential election, accused INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu of having rigged the election while the results were being tabulated.

Melaye had organized a walkout at the national Collation Centre with eight other party agents, including the Labour Party.

 

He noted that the BVAS was not utilized in various areas during the elections, alleging that the All Progressives Congress APC, with the assistance of INEC, engaged in widespread thumb-printing at various polling units.

In addition, he lamented that the election official has failed to upload results to its server since Saturday’s election.

The PDP leader tweeted on Wednesday that the party must obtain justice and urged supporters to remain calm and maintain peace.

“A clarion call to all Atiku’s supporters around the globe to remain calm. “Tears may linger until evening, but joy comes in the morning,” he wrote.

 

“This grave injustice cannot be tolerated. The battle to recover our stolen mandate is a no-retreat, no-surrender conflict.”
