Iran Ex-President’s Daughter Sentenced To Five-Year Imprisonment
Faezeh Hashemi, Daughter of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, a former president of Iran has bagged a five year jail term.
Her attorney confirmed on Tuesday that the sentence for Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani’s daughter was five years in prison.

The charges against Faezeh Hashemi were not specifically stated by the attorney.
However, this online newspaper gathered that Hashemi was charged with “propaganda against the system” by Tehran’s public prosecutor last year.

She was detained in Tehran during protests after a young Kurdish woman died while in police custody, according to state media reports from September. The arrest was for “inciting riots.”
