Detailed Description

  • The implementing agent MMSD, by the Mineral Sector Support Economic Diversification Project, intends to use half of the proceeds for eligible funds underneath the contract for the engagement of a Consultant for the Local Capacity Building on Environmental Management for Regulators And Practitioners within the Nigerian Mining Sector to which this request for expression of curiosity is issued.

2023/2024 Recruitment for Consultants

The Consulting agency is required to:

  • Organize and conduct workshops for the environmental regulators, mining operators and accredited environmental consultants; and
  • Organize native coaching programme for MEC Technical Staff of the Ministry in air pollution management, waste administration, land degradation mines closure and remediation plans and local weather mitigation approaches with the view to enhancing their proficiencies

This project covers the next scope to realize the goals of the Consultancy:

  • Review the present authorized and regulatory frameworks on environmental and social points in mining.
