FirstBank of Nigeria appoints Seyi Oyefeso as Executive Director

Mr has been appointed as Executive Director, Retail Banking in charge of the South by FirstBank of Nigeria Ltd.

 

FirstBank of Nigeria  said in a statement issued on Monday in Lagos that his appointment, which took effect on March 2, 2023, was subject to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) approval.

Seyi Oyefeso Biography: Career with FirstBank of Nigeria

 

Prior to his appointment, Oyefeso was the Group Executive Director, Retail Banking South (Lagos and West) and the Country Managing Director of FBNBank Ghana Ltd.

He began his career with First Bank in 2006 as a Branch Manager in one of the bank’s top three branches.

He also held positions as a Business Development Manager and Group Head in the Retail Banking and Institutional Banking Directorates.

Oluseyi Oyefeso is a multi-skilled professional with very robust banking experience, proven problem-solving and leadership skills,” said Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank Group.

“He is a competent leader, a team player and has over the years demonstrated the ability to develop positive business relationships, evidenced by remarkable track-record of business growth.

He described Oyefeso as a results-driven executive with over twenty-five years of relevant management experience in the banking and financial services industry.

He is also an experienced banker and chartered accountant, having begun his banking career in January 1993.

He has extensive knowledge in retail, corporate, and commercial banking, credit risk management (analysis and administration), and financial control, according to him.

Oyefeso holds an accounting degree and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) as well as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in Nigeria (CITN).

He has three children and is happily married.
