The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has disowned the list of potential presidential Candidate’s campaign, which has caused a new turn in the party’s internal turmoil.

One of her rivals, Nuhu Ribadu, and his supporters challenged her victory, which led to a federal high court decision that invalidated her candidacy in October.
However, Binani is still in charge of the APC’s presidential campaign council in the state. However, she is currently up against the party’s leadership, which has questioned and rejected the list she compiled.
The Executive Committee of the party in the state, which met in Yola on Wednesday afternoon, said that the list’s compilation did not involve the committee or many other significant players.

The chairman of the Adamawa State APC, Hon. Samaila Tadawus, stated at a press conference held after the state executive meeting that the party was taken aback when it “stumbled on a list of purported state presidential campaign members in circulation on social media and in some national dailies dated 31st October 2022.”
Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani), the Adamawa State coordinator, “single-handedly generated the list without consulting the party at both state and local government levels,” Tadawus emphasized, as the source of the list.
Tadawus emphasized that the APC national campaign secretariat does not provide any state coordinator the authority to act independently of the party and that the state chapter of the APC rejects the list now in circulation and would create a new one.
