Governor Ademola Adeleke of the state of Osun has declared March 17 a holiday.

The Governor’s Spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, stated in a statement released on Thursday that the holiday will allow residents of Osun State to travel to their polling places on Saturday for the State House of Assembly elections.
In addition, the state governor urged residents to be peaceful and law-abiding as they prepare for the elections.
This holiday will allow residents of Osun State to travel to their polling places on Saturday to vote in the State House of Assembly elections, the statement reads.
“I call on the citizens of Osun to exercise their civic rights. This election is crucial because you will elect legislators who will work with me. You must vote correctly”, reads the statement.
