Governor Adeleke makes first appointments

Kassim Akinleye has been given the role of Chief of Staff by Ademola Adeleke, who is the Governor of Osun State.

Mr. Teslim Igbalaye will serve as Secretary to the State Government (SSG), a position that was previously held by Mr. Olawale Rasheed, who will now serve as the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary.

According to the statement made by the governor, the appointment will be put into effect without delay.

It says that “Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Kassim Akinleye as the chief of staff to the Governor;”

“Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye will serve as Secretary to the State Government, and Mallam Rasheed Olawale will serve as the Governor’s Spokesperson,”

“The appointment will go into effect without delay.”

This comes hours after the new Governor was Inaugurated as the Governor of Osun State.

He rescinded some appointments made by the previous Governor and froze the state accounts.
