Governor Wike Makes Big Announcements, Tell Rivers People Who To Vote For

 

 

 

 

Governor has delivered his New Year Message for 2023. He delivered the message on Saturday night, hours after commissioning the flag off of the Ogbo-Ihughogo road in Ahoada, Rivers State.

 

 

 

In his message, he applauded his administration, saying that they have done well in taking the state from where they met it when they assumed office to a better place. He noted that his administration has brought several infrastructural developments in the state for which they should be celebrated and lauded, adding that the state is one of the safest state in Nigeria currently, courtesy of his administration.

He also promised to continue to equip and support the state security agencies so that they can continue their good work in securing the life and properties of the good people of Rivers State.

 

In his message, he noted that the 2023 general elections are an opportunity for Nigerians and the good people of Rivers State to elect the new set of people who will lead them going forward. He noted that the participation and vote of the good people of Rivers State is crucial in determining who leads them going forward in 2023.

He, however, urged the good people of Rivers State to allow national objectives to guide them in choosing the next set of leaders in 2023. He told the good people of Rivers State to be careful not to vote for leaders who do not mean well for them.

He further urged them to vote wisely and only for the parties and candidates who love the state and are ready to advance and defend its interest, and not for those who will fail the state and neglect their aspirations for development.

Wike in his New Year Message also noted that it is not in the state’s character to interfere with any political party’s constitutional rights to campaign in the state, however, when doing so, such political parties or candidates must observe the laws of the state or face the consequences.
