Gunmen Kidnap Bauchi Politician, Demand N100m Ransom
A young politician named Hon. Musa Markus Masoyi from the Bogoro Local Government Area in Bauchi State has been taken captive.
One week after the man was kidnapped by unknown assailants on November 21, 2022, he is still being held captive by those individuals.

According to information obtained by Ejesgist.ng, the armed men stormed the secretariat of Boi, which is a village located in the Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, in the middle of the night on the date in question and kidnapped the young man who was their primary target.
An inhabitant of the village who did not want his name to be mentioned stated that the armed men entered the building while everyone was asleep and took the hostage with them to a location that was not specified.

According to him, the victim was kidnapped along with his older brother, who was subsequently dumped and abandoned in the woods, where he was later rescued by people and brought back to his home.
Prior to his kidnapping, Markus Masoyi was an active participant in the PDP mobilisation rally that had just come to a close.

The purpose of the rally was to garner support for the party in the upcoming general elections in 2023.
