SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the command, stated on Saturday that the husband, a 53-year-old technician, and wife, a 48-year-old body massager and bone setter, were arrested on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, after a member of the man’s family reported an alleged kidnapping.

According to him, the couple, who admitted to the crime, claimed they planned the self-kidnapping to raise N3 million in order to purchase back their home in the Badagry neighbourhood of Lagos.
