On Saturday, JAMB instructed all candidates for the examinations in 2023 to begin printing their notification slips.
In a statement signed by Fabian Benjamin, the board’s Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, the board announced its decision.
Students who have registered for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now begin printing their notification slips, as announced by JAMB.
“All candidates must print their examination notification slip in order to determine the examination’s location, date, session, and time.
“Due to the changes in examination schedules this year, all candidates must print their examination slips in advance so that they are aware of the location of their examination centres, the date of their scheduled sessions, and the time of the examination.”
“This would help them make the necessary preparations in advance, as the board frowns on lateness to its examinations, and no candidate’s excuses would be accepted, as a stitch in time saves nine.”
The board stated that 2023 UTME slips could be printed from any public or private internet location, and that candidates could visit https://www.JAMB.gov.ng, click on 2023 UTME slip printing, enter their registration number, and then print.
In addition, the board stated that the slip provided candidates with vital information such as their registration number, examination location within their chosen examination city, and estimated arrival time.
In accordance with its “No biometric verification, no examination” policy, JAMB announced that all applicants would be checked into the examination room using the Biometric Verification Machine (BVM), which also served as a record of attendance.
“Candidates should also be aware that examinations will not be rescheduled for any reason,” stated JAMB.
“Furthermore, all candidates should plan ahead and stay close to their examination centres; if possible, they should visit their centres before the exam date.”
Additionally, candidates should be aware that the ban on prohibited items remains in effect.
Therefore, candidates must avoid breaking the law, as violators of the code of conduct will face severe penalties.”
Flash drives, smart watches, calculators, recorders, mobile phones, spy reading glasses, and jewellery are among the prohibited items in the exam room.
