Renowned comedian, Oluwaseyitan Lawrence, popularly known as Seyi Law, has criticised the individuals who are protesting for the “Yoruba for Yoruba Jobs” campaign in the South West region.

 

In a recent social media post, Seyi expressed concern over a disturbing trend that has been observed in some parts of the country. The trend involves individuals posing with posters that bear the message “Yoruba Jobs for Yoruba People”. Seyi went on to describe this trend as “absolutely nonsensical“.

According to the source, he stated, “My support for Asiwaju (Tinubu) did not include witnessing these events.”

A call has been made by a Yoruba group urging companies, government agencies, and businesses to prioritise the employment of Yoruba individuals at a rate of 90%. This comes after a photo of Tonia Somaga, a graduate from Anambra and supporter of the Labour Party (LP), driving one of the Lagos blue rails went viral.

The group known as “Yoruba for Yoruba Jobs” has urged the Lagos State Government to terminate the employment of a lady who they claim was advocating for Peter Obi. Seyi Law has dismissed the group’s allegations as “rubbish.”
