Dino Melaye speaks on Atiku retiring from politics, ‘aligning’ with Tinubu

 

Senator Dino Melaye, one of the spokespersons for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), stated on Monday that reports that his principal is retiring from politics and joining forces with the president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu are “a malicious lie.”

 

Dino Melaye, who completely dispelled the rumours, also vowed that the former vice-president would become Nigeria’s next leader.

“The malicious lie and propaganda circulating that Atiku is retiring from politics and joining forces with Tinubu is a monstrous lie from the depths of hell and must be ignored.

 

“Light and darkness have no relationship.

 

“Nigerians can rest be assured that Atiku will soon arrive,” Melaye wrote on his well-known Twitter account.

 

This online newspaper reports that Atiku, 76, has unsuccessfully run for president five times.

The Peoples Democratic Party was the runner-up in the two most recent general elections (PDP).

 

Meanwhile, the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has stated that the major reason why Peter obi the presidential candidate of the labour party amassed over 6 million votes.

 

The Rivers Governor In an interview with News men stated that the labour party presidential candidate came third in the presidential elections behind Atiku of the peoples Democratic party and Bola Tinubu (President-elect) of the all progressives congress because the electorates clamoured for a much more younger candidate and the Igbo wanted the presidency.
