This is similar to some blog sites claiming that internet fraudster Ramon Abass, also known as Hushpuppi, has died.
According to news reports on Hushpuppi’s death, “now he is no longer Hushpuppi.” He is now known as Abbas. He buried his true name in a coffin of lies and deception.”
According to reports, news of Hushpuppi’s death surfaced on May 31, 2023, after a tweet by Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo was misinterpreted. Hushpuppi had previously pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Who is Hushpuppi? Is Hushpuppi dead?
Hushpuppi, also known as Ray Hushpuppi or Hush, was born on October 11, 1982 and is commonly referred to as Ramon Olorunwa Abbas. This individual is a 38-year old Nigerian who was both born and raised in Lagos State, Nigeria. The user states that the individual received their secondary school education at Government College in Ikorodu, which is located in Lagos State.
We learnt that Hushpuppi
Abba Kyari, a Nigerian police officer known as Supercop, gained increased notoriety after the FBI released documents detailing his involvement with Hushpuppi. Hushpuppi was a popular figure on Instagram and Kyari was found to be working with him.
The FBI released documents revealing that during their investigation, they discovered a relationship between DCP Abba Kyari and Hushpuppi that continued until Hushpuppi’s arrest.
According to the documents, during the investigation, Hushpuppi allegedly took Kyari on a fully paid trip to Dubai, UAE, where he received VIP treatment from the moment he arrived at the airport.
There is currently no official report confirming the death of Hushpuppi. Kemi Olunloyo did tweet about Hushpuppi, but only stated that he had passed away without providing any further details. The chemist’s statement, “They won’t announce yet,” has been widely shared on online media platforms. Some of these platforms have reported that the chemist claimed Hushpuppi is dead.
Is Hushpuppi Still Alive
The message in question did not mention the name of the boy Kemi claimed was dead and his death was yet to be announced.
Kemi Olunloyo has debunked the news in some quarters quoting her to have confirmed that Hushpuppi is dead, calling on her followers to avoid blogs who reported the fake news.
“Kemi Olunloyo did not announce that Hushpuppi is DEAD in the US. Stop spreading #Fakenews. Avoid those blogs,” Olunloyo tweeted 11: 04 pm Nigerian time, Wednesday 30, 2023.
