APC Suspends North-East Vice Chairman For Associating With PDP Governor Fintiri
The All Progressives Congress has suspended Mustapha Salihu, the party’s vice-chairman for the north-east.
The APC suspended him for six months for allegedly engaging in “anti-party activities.”

Salihu, who is accused of associating with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member and Adamawa state governor Ahmadu Fintiri, was suspended along with his ward chairman Abdulkadir Abdullahi.
The decision to suspend the pair was made on Sunday, February 19 at an emergency executive ward meeting. The assertion read;
“The All Progressives Congress, Rumde ward working committee, Yola north LGA held an emergency meeting on Sunday, February 19, 2023, and considered, among other things, the immediate suspension of the north-east vice-chairman of the APC, Comrade Mustapha Salihu over glaring and proven anti-party activities, gross abuse of office, and creating crisis within the ranks of the party at all levels, which if left unchecked will adversely affect the party at the forthcoming general elections.”
“Therefore, in accordance with the pertinent provisions of our great party’s constitution, the members of the working committee have adopted and approved the suspension of comrade Mustapha Salihu for a period of six months, effective immediately, in order to serve as a deterrent for others in the future.

“This committee is keenly aware of the responsibilities entrusted to it by the party, and it will always place the party’s interests above those of any individual or group of individuals, especially when the latter threatens the electoral prospects of the party.
While we appreciate the continued support of the state working committee of our party, we hope that our resolution will be expedited.
Their suspension has been communicated to the party leadership in Yola north LGA in order to be forwarded to the state working committee.
