Evans for double re-arraignment Jan. 26
Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, the convicted “billionaire kidnapper,” is scheduled to be re-arrested before a different judge about four years after he was first charged with two separate kidnapping-related offenses before Justice Adedayo Akintoye of the Igbosere High Court, Lagos State.

On January 26, Evans will be brought before Justice Sherifat Sonaike of the Lagos State High Court in Tafawa Balewa Square along with Joseph Emeka, Victor Aduba, and Okapara Linus.
After both case files were transferred from Justice Akintoye to the new judge, the cases are anticipated to begin de novo (again).

This online newspaper learned that Justice Akintoye, in front of whom Evans and other defendants were charged in May 2018, is completing her cases in preparation for retirement.
