Kashim shettima: Northern youths threaten to withdraw support for All Progressives Congress, APC, vice presidential candidate

The All Progressive Congress (APC) North-East Youth and Stakeholders Forum’s leadership threatened to stop supporting Senator Kashim Shettima, the party’s vice presidential candidate for the 2023 election, on Thursday.

This online newspaper has learned that the APC’s camp has been agitated by the threat.

One of the most important APC support organizations is undoubtedly the North-East party caucus.

At a press conference held in Abuja, the group announced its stance and threatened to stop supporting the former governor of Borno State “for continuously undermining its effort.”

“It is with great regret and concern that we must inform you that the Northeast region of our great party is on the verge of disintegrating due to the exclusive, obstinate, and careless leadership style of our Vice Presidential Candidate, Hon. Kashim Shettima.

“The Northeast APC Youth Forum has wept while watching as many of its supporters keep leaving for the PDP. Sen. Kashim appears to be ignoring these heinous developments in our party in the Northeast, which is regrettably a trend that is getting worse by the day.

As a result, Shaibu Tilde, acting chairman of the APC North-East Youth and Stakeholders Forum, stated that the Northeast APC Youth Forum “wishes to withdraw its unequivocal support for Sen. Shettima.”

The group declared that they would only support the All Progressives Congress once the vice presidential candidate Shettima “reverses his steps and corrects his mistakes.”
