Labour Party Agent Shot Dead In Lagos, Governorship Candidate
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party candidate for governor in Lagos State, reports that one of the party’s agents has been fatally shot.
According to Gbadebo, the unidentified agent was murdered in the Apapa neighbourhood of the state by thugs suspected of belonging to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

“We are receiving reports of voter intimidation and voter suppression from all over Lagos.” One of our agents was shot and killed in Apapa. And it’s concerning that INEC and the police have been implicated in this,” he said.

Gbadebo is challenging Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Abdul-Azeez Adediran, also known as Jandor, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the governorship of Lagos State.

The election was anticipated to be fiercely contested following the Labour Party’s victory in the Lagos state presidential election.
Before the election, APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, nicknamed “City Boy” for his dominance in the state’s politics, had never lost in Lagos.
