Labour Party structure collapses in Jigawa as all candidates defect to APC

Tsoho Garba, the Labour Party’s candidate for governor of Jigawa State, and all of the party’s National Assembly candidates have defected to the APC.

Following a meeting with APC stakeholders in Dutse, the state capital, Tsoho Garba confirmed this on Saturday.

He claimed that the majority of party executives from the state’s 27 local government areas, including the state’s Labour Party chairman, had joined the mass exodus to the APC.

In recognition of the enormous strides Governor Badaru Abubakar has made in the state, Tsoho claimed they have decided to abandon their candidacy and their party in favour of the APC.

People asked us to run under the Labour Party, but during our statewide campaign tour, we learned how the APC government transformed the state through initiatives and initiatives that directly impacted the average person.

“There is no question that Jigawa needs continuity if we are to advance our state, and it is best to let the APC continue leading the charge so as to stay on the main course.

In welcoming the defectors from the Labour party, Governor Badaru Abubakar praised their dedication to the advancement of the state and vowed to grant them all the privileges enjoyed by the party’s founding members.
