Latest Ayo Oritsejafor Sermon on Labour 

Ayo Oritsejafor joins tithe debate says tithe flavours your labour with favour.

Ayodele Joseph Oritsegbubemi Oritsejafor, the Founding and Senior Pastor of Word of Life Bible Church in Warri, has weighed in on the ongoing tithe debate by claiming that the practise of giving tithes infuses one’s labour with the favour of God. This viewpoint was presented in a recent sermon at the church.

“I am aware that there are some individuals who are encouraging you not to contribute your tithe. Ignore what they have to say. “They intend to put an end to you,” he warned.

In his sermon at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG)  Holy Ghost Congress, which had the theme “Songs of Victory,” Papa Ayo Oritsejafor, as he is more commonly known, participated in the discussion regarding tithing. He preached on the message: “Power Passes Power.”

The discussion regarding tithing has recently generated a great deal of controversy, which has shaken the very foundation of tithing payments throughout Christendom.

In his message, Pastor Oritsejafor stated that individuals who do not contribute to the tithe are unable to advance in the endeavours they pursue in life.

He related the story of a sister who had been employed by an oil company for eight years without receiving a promotion. She decided to give all of her salary to God, and as a result, she was given a double promotion at her place of employment.

As a direct consequence of this, “Every month, rather than paying 10% tithe, she began paying 20% tithe,” Oritsejafor said.

The well-known Warri Pastor, who wowed the congregation at the RCCG Camp Ground by code-switching throughout his sermon and delivering portions of it in the Warri Pidgin, stated that there are some labours that do not result in rewards.

“But when God sprinkles his favour upon your labour, you will start to see results. It depends on whether or not God wills it. Simply having someone’s favour results in power.

“The tenth that you give is not for you. When you make a tithe payment, the focus is not on you. It is about your children, the children of your children, and the children of your children’s children. It is about the next generation.

“Do not let yourself be misled by anyone. You should be able to differentiate between yourself and the man who advises you not to pay tithes if you take an honest look at both of your circumstances.

“There is no other power that can stop the favour of God from working when it is working,” he said. “When favour is working.”

The eternally vital Word The senior pastor continued by stating that tithing is not the only way Christians can gain God’s favour, adding that there are other ways Christians can do this.

“Favour is divine. However, a human being can set it off. You can bring favour upon yourself by living a holy life. You can earn favour through singing and through the praise you offer.

Oritsejafor told the congregation of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) at the Redemption Camp Ground, “But, I also say to you, by your giving, you can activate favour.”
