Ayo Fayose reacts to his suspension says “it’s comedy skit by Ayu and cohorts”

 

Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, has responded to his suspension from the Peoples Democratic Party, the main opposition party.

 

Ejes Gist News Nigeria in an earlier report stated that the party issued a statement on Thursday evening announcing the suspension of Fayose, Pius Anyim, and other members for alleged anti-party activities.

Fayose responded to the news by describing the party’s National Working Committee’s action as “the last kick on a dead horse.”

 

According to the former governor, Senator Iyorchia Ayu’s tenure as National Chairman of the party would end in a matter of days.

 

Fayose, through his spokesperson Lere Olayinka, responded to the suspension by stating, “Ayu and his cohorts are using the alleged suspension as their latest comedy routine.”

In a matter of days, he said, Ayu’s disgraceful tenure as party chairman will be a thing of the past, and PDP and its members will enjoy a new lease on life.

 

According to Fayose, he and other party members who stood with the PDP when Ayu and his cohorts abandoned it will eventually rescue it and restore it to life.
