Gospel singer Mercy and her husband have been cautioned by Ebonyi politician Maria Ude Nwachi against unnecessary social media show-off because it could backfire.

The Ebonyi Assembly member for Afikpo North-East was responding to the widely shared video showing Pastor Blessed giving Chinwo a new SUV for her 31st birthday.

The Ebonyi lawmaker criticized the gospel artist for the “unnecessary show off” in response to the incident.
She wrote:
